Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which documents are required?

Your birth certificate, a certificate of conduct and a marriage certificate if you are legally married. Registered partnership is not recognized in Paraguay.

Would I gain a permanent or temporary residency permit through your services?

First you will get a temporary residency permit. After two years this can be renewed for a permanent one. We can take care of this renewal as well. The permanent permit needs to be renewed every ten years.

Can you guarantee 100% that I will gain a residency permit?

We do not control the Paraguayan government, so the answer is no. However, Paraguay is one of the easiest countries in the world to gain a residency permit from. The chances your application for a residency permit will be denied is extremely small. We work with parties with over 37 years of experience arranging residences. None of our clients had their application denied.

Do I need to speak Spanish in order to get a permit?

You do not need to speak Spanish. During the entire process there will be an English speaking translator present.

Do I need to go to Paraguay in order to get my residency permit?

Yes, there is no other way to gain a residency permit without having been there physically at least a couple of days.

Do I need to deposit $5.000 in a Paraguayan bank in order to get the permit?

No, thanks to recent changes in the law, this is no longer required.

What type of certificate of conduct do I obtain if I have been living abroad for some time already?

If your passport does not match country that issues the certificate of conduct, you would need to proof with a document that you have lived in the issuing country for at least three years. Possible documents (with apostilles!) that would proof this are tax documents of said country or official proof of registering residency in that country. To avoid delays we advice you to obtain a certificate of conduct for the country where your passport is from.

I read online/ heard from a friend that someone else provides this same service but cheaper.

Yes, that is because these providers often do not deliver the residency permit/ Cédula they offer. We regularly hear from people with bad experiences with cheaper providers. We urge you to be careful with non-certified providers of legal services in South-America. We only work with trustworthy partners and have a satisfaction rate of 100%. Of course you are free to opt for cheaper services, but this at your own risk.

Can I pay with cryptocurrency?

Yes, that is possible. Because the fluctuating value of Bitcoin, we accept payments through stablecoin: USDT. This USDT will be exchanged for cash (dollars), which we use to pay the people locally. There are costs tied to this exchange.

Are there possible discounts?

Yes, for children under 14 years there is a reduced all-in price of €1.250.

Can I open a bank account once I have my Cedula?

yes, that is possible. And through our partners we offer this service for a surcharge. This process can start after you have received your Cédula (national ID card).

Disclaimer

We fully support the results that our team will deliver, but have no influence on the Paraguayan governement. If between this time and the time you will receive your residency permit, before or after your travels, de Paraguayan government adjust any of the regulations.

In this case we are not responsible. What we WILL do, is work with you as best as we can smoothly get over this change , without any surcharges from our end. Be aware that this type of change can happen in Paraguay (and any South-American country), so don't be surprised when this happens. Be prepared to be flexible and we will support you throughout. You will still gain your Cedula.
